Frequently Asked Questions

Starting therapy can bring up a lot of questions. We're here to make the process as comfortable and transparent as possible. If you don't see your question below, please reach out—we're happy to help.

Where are you located?

We currently serve clients from our New Hampshire offices, including Bedford, Littleton and Berlin, with telehealth services available for VT & NH residents.

Who do you work with?

Our clinicians work with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families.

Getting Started

How do I become a client?

Getting started is simple:

  1. Contact our office by phone or email.

  2. Complete your intake paperwork.

  3. Verify insurance or discuss self-pay options.

  4. Schedule your initial evaluation.

  5. Begin working with a clinician who best fits your needs.

How long is the first appointment?

Initial evaluations are generally 60–90 minutes, depending on your needs and the type of services requested.

How often will I attend therapy?

Most clients begin with weekly appointments. As progress is made, sessions may become biweekly or monthly based on your treatment goals.

Insurance & Payment

Do you accept insurance?

We accept many commercial insurance plans. Coverage varies by clinician and service.

Our office can help verify your benefits before your first appointment.

Many clients choose to use out-of-network benefits or pay privately. We can often provide documentation (a superbill) for possible reimbursement if your insurance plan offers out-of-network coverage.

Do you offer self-pay appointments?

Yes. Self-pay services are available for clients who prefer not to use insurance or who are seeking services not covered by insurance.

Do you have a sliding fee scale?

Yes. Willow & Sage offers a Sliding Fee Discount Program for eligible clients based on household income and family size.

Please contact our office to learn more.
